CING | The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics

The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING), was established in 1991 and is operating as a Regional Centre of Excellence, in the areas of Neurology, Genetics and Biomedical Sciences. Currently CING represents the most advanced Genetics/Medical organization in Cyprus with very high profile presence in EU and international Research. During the last decade the CING has been able to attract considerable funding from EU, USA (NIH) and many other funding agencies and ranks amongst the top three establishments in the county in terms of international competiveness.

CING has developed the most competitive expertise and research infrastructure available in Cyprus, and has provided a very effective platform for bridging and streamlining the activities of the public, private and other non-government organizations working in the health sector. CING has recently established the Cyprus School of Molecular Medicine [CSMM], an independent Postgraduate School, licensed by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus that delivers postgraduate education at both Masters and PhD level.
